Sodium Hydrosulfite

Sodium hydrosulfite (or sodium dithionite) is a whitish powder that has a very strong reduction potential when dissolved in water and can degrade upon contact with air.

•It converts insoluble vat dyes into a soluble (leuco) form, allowing the dye to penetrate the cotton fiber.
