Methylene Chloride

Dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) is a chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbon that is slightly soluble in water but miscible with other organic solvents in all proportions, non-flammable but suspected of being carcinogenic.

•It rapidly penetrates hardened epoxy, polyurethane, and cellulosic paint layers, causing them to blister in seconds and easily detach from the surface.
