Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK)

2-Butanone (MEK) is an asymmetric, water-soluble aliphatic ketone with one higher carbon arrangement than acetone (propanone), featuring a very high evaporation rate.

•Its slower evaporation rate and higher boiling point compared to acetone allow for much better control of the drying speed of paints and inks on the surface (yielding a glossier finish).
